This pictures was taken in the holiest place in the world, Jerusalem, on Via Dolorosa. I thought: What Jesus would say if he were there with me in the middle of a place filled with tourists posing and smiling to a camera of a man who was charging them to hold a wooden cross in front of Che Gevara T-shirts, screaming vendors, banners of Coca-Cola.
St Patrick`s parade in Belfast attracted local people and tourists likewise. There have been some fears that the presence of so many Irish flags can spark some tensions, but everybody tends to enjoy the holiday spirit more than the existing divisions.
In the very center of Belfast some young Irish teenagers sang Irish songs (including those about IRA) and seeing the police, chanted “RUC” (Royal Ulster Constabulary) for a while, but then calmed down and turned to more traditional celebrations.
